ABV – Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior

The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, or also called IIITM-G, was established in 1997. IIITM-G is located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was the Ministry of Human Resource Development who initiated the foundation as an effort to develop information technology and management education in the country. No wonder IIITM-G is one of the leading universities in the two areas in India, now with over 300 on campus students. IIITM-G campus is a fully residential one located on around 160-acre land. All students are required to stay in the hostels during their study.

Academic Program

Admission at IIITM-G is divided into some:

• 1. Integrated Post Graduate (B.Tech + M.Tech or MBA) Admission. This is a five-year integrated program leading to dual degrees, B.Tech and M.Tech or B.Tech and MBA. The M.Tech program will have students specialize in one or two of the follows: Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Database Management System & Multimedia. The MBA have specialization in one or two of Finance, Marketing, IT-Enabled Strategy, and Operations.
• 2. Post Graduation MTech Admission. PG M.Tech is a two-year program leading to M.Tech degree.
• 3. Post Graduation MBA Admission. This is two-year program leading to MBA degree.
• 4. PhD Admission. This is a doctoral program which offers all areas of Information & Communication Technology and Management.

The university provides facilities to support the learning and studying process. There are hostels, libraries, laboratories, as well as other general facilities such as bank, dispensary, post office, transportation, canteen, and stores. There are totally four hostels in the campus complex, three for male students and one for female students. The sport facilities cover wide options as there are courts for badminton, lawn tennis, and basketball. There are also table tennis, snooker tables, indoor sport facilities, gym, swimming pool, and football and cricket ground. Since it is a fully residential campus, IIITM-G is certain to provide all necessary facilities in the campus complex. Tuition fee for the first semester of 2009 admission, including registration fee, one-time payment, and semester fee, was Rs.35900 for IPG and M.Tech programs, Rs.41900 for MBA program, and Rs.22200 for PhD program. Contact IIITM-G for further information about tuition fee for new admission, as well as scholarship programs. For information, new non-sponsored M-Tech students will get a Rs.20000 fee waiver every semester.
