ANU initially started off offering only 10 post-graduate courses within the University Campus. The University now offers post-graduate education in 47 courses, out of which 39 of them are conducted within the University campus, and the others in the different PG centers and University affiliated colleges.

About ANU:
ANU was established under Act no. 43 of 1976 of A.P. State Legislature and Governed by Act 4 of 1991 covering 6 Universities of the State. It was the high aspiration of the people in the southern coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh to pursue Post-Graduate education near their place of residence that led to the establishment of Acharya Nagarjuna University in August 1976. Ever since its establishment, the University has made its place in the UGC list of recognized institutes. There are a number of self-financed courses conducted by ANU, while the rest all are funded by the Grants Commission. The Institute is also an active member of the AIU.
