As one of the leading higher educational institutions in the State of Kerala, Amritapuri Campus is quite a full-equipped campus of Amrita University. Many schools and additional programs are offered at this school. Built on and 80-acre land, the campus complex also has one of the most beautiful view of the coastal line of the state. Student facilities range from research labs, library, hostels, dining halls, cafes, stores, and variety of student clubs as to make them feel like at home. The campus enriches student life among the best balance of arts, culture, sports, games, yoga, and meditation in the residential life. Service activities are also held periodically to promote student awareness in helping the others and keeping the environment green. The fact that 95% percent of students at Amritapuri Campus are residential students has also made the missions easier.

Academic Program

The Amritapuri Campus of Amrita University comprises of four schools: School of Arts and Science, School of Engineering, School of Biotechnology, and the School of Ayurveda. The four schools offer study programs in 13 departments of Chemistry, Commerce and Management, Computer Science and Applications, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, English, Information Technology, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Social Work, and Physical Education.

The campus has programs for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees.

  1. Undergraduate program offers degrees as follows: B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc. in Computer Science, B.Com, BBM, B.Sc. in Biotechnology, B.Sc. in Microbiology, and BAMS. There are also two diploma programs, each in Pharmacy and Panchakarma.
  2. The Master degrees are offered for M.Tech in VLSI, M.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Chemistry, M.Sc. in Physics, M.Sc. in Mathematics, MCA, M.Sc. in Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, MBA, and Master of Social Work. Five-year integrated degree program is offered for M.Sc. in Mathematics & Physics.
  3. Doctoral degree is available for Ph.D. in Biotechnology.

Besides the degree programs, Amritapuri Campus also offers certification courses in Multimedia, Cisco Systems, and Red Hat. The research activity at Amritapuri Campus is also quite intense and diversified. The campus maintains affiliation with WINSOC (Wireless Sensor Networks with Self-Organization Capabilities for Critical and Emergency Application) as also operates some of its own centers.
