Educational Programs:

Bhavnagar University offers educational courses at the graduate and post graduate levels only. The University imparts educational instructions through the different affiliated colleges, educational centers and institutes.

Facilities – As of now, the University provides only two kinds of facilities to the students. One is the free membership facility in the University Library, and second, accessibility to the hi-tech computer center within the institute campus.

A small public University located in Bhavnagar in West Gujarat, the Bhavnagar University was established 1978, and since then the University has been enlisted in the list of recognized institutes of the University Grants Commission (UGC). BU is one among the few well-known Universities in the state of Gujarat that imparts high quality education, teaching as well as research programs in Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, Management, Rural Studies and Law Faculties.

A very recent break through was in the field of optical science, achieved by scientist Rasbindu Mehta of Bhavnagar University to trap light, is the first of its kind. The university has been accorded a “B’ grade by the NAAC.
