Among other things, the university has a huge Central Library, which apart from housing books and journals also allows access to journals under the UGC Infonet E consortia Project. Moreover, nearly all the departments have their own computer labs and the central library has a computer center with over 250 desktops. It also houses the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium which has become a sound platform for students interested in sports. It also offers separate hostel facility to its students. There are nearly 10 auditoriums and conference halls present in the university. It also has a Cafeteria, a bank and a post office. There are also 2 shopping complexes within the campus offering basic services to students and there is also a health center which offers medical help to all who are on campus.

Since its inception under the governance of the government of Uttar Pradesh in 1975, this university has been imparting education and training to youths in various fields and applied research. It is the mission of the university to value a professional attitude and integrity. It is constantly trying to better itself so that it can better facilitate the needs of the students. It also aims to create an environment where strong interdisciplinary ties are formed. Moreover, it lays immense importance to teaching skills, research, administrative skills. It wants its students to have sound knowledge of practical training and scientific principles.

The university has actively involved itself in infrastructural developments so that it can efficiently meet the requirements of the students. For example, it is building separate hostels for students from the reserves quota so that all can get accommodation during their course of study. Moreover, in order to propel the minds of students towards academic growth the university has a host of awards. These include the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, the Chancellor’s silver Medal, Shrimati Gyarsi Devi Charitable Trust Gold Medal, Shrimati Sneh Lata Sharma Gold Medal to name a few.
