About CSJM. The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj (CSJM) University was established by an Act of the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature in 1966 and is located in the industrial capital of the state, Kanpur. The University has 170 affiliated colleges in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh and is known for its quality education.
The CSJM University is spread over an extensive campus of 264 acres and has a computer centre, a department of Adult and Continuing Education, Communication and a College Development Council. Besides studies, the university encourages student involvement in other activities such as games, sports, physical education, the National Cadet Corps and the National Service Scheme amongst others.
UG, PG, Master, MBA & PhD Courses offered
The colleges and institutions affiliated to the University offer several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Art, Science, Commerce, Law, Engineering and Medicine whereas the residential wing of the campus comprises of the faculties of Life Sciences, Business Management, Education and English.
The CSHM Institute of Business Management is a prominent institute that provides lucrative career to its successful candidates. The courses offered are:
- MBA Programme (2 years full time)
- MBA (3 years part time)
- BBA (3 years full time)
- Master in Tourism Management (2 years full time)
- Ph.D. Programme in Management
The Institute also provides the following specialized courses:
- MBA (Finance and Control)
- MBA (Business Economics)
- MBA (Tourism Management)
Keeping in mind the requirements of engineering students, the University has also set up an Institute of Engineering and Technology in the campus that offers courses in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology.
CSJM University has recently launched new courses that include Dental College, Para Medical Bachelors and Diploma Course, B.P.Ed. and M.P.Ed., Bachelor of Mass Communication and Journalism, Master of Social Work, Department of Music and Drawing and Painting.
