Formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University, APOU was established in the year 1987 (as per UGC records 1982). Later on the institute was renamed as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU). A state university, BRAOU is a member o the Association of Indian Universities. Although a UGC and Distance Education Council (DEC) recognized University, ANGRAU is not funded by the UGC grants.

Courses: Certification program in Food & Nutrition and English Communication.

UG Program:
Courses: B.A, B.Sc and B.com regular courses offered.

Diploma Details:
Courses: PG Diploma in Marketing, Business Finance, Writing for Mass Media, Environmental Studies, Human Rights and Woman’s Studies.

PG Programs:
Courses: M.A in History, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, M.Com, M.Sc in Mathematics, Chemistry, Botany, Environmental Science, Physics and Zoology.

Research Programs:
Courses: M.Phil in Dev. Studies and PhD in Dev. Studies

Facilities - The University provides support services at the Regional Centers and Study Centers. Student facilitating services include: Administrative services, Information services, Tutorial and counseling services and Library services.

With the motto “Education at your Desktop”, BRAOU have established a wide network of 200 study centers spread throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh. There are study centers exclusively for women. A couple of study centers are also located in central prisons with the aim o educating the prisoners.

    i am parth staying at gujarat. i passed M.Com from North Gujarat University and now i want to do Degree in L.L.B., but my problm is that i am working person so i am not able to attend regular classes. Please give me detail form where can i do my L.L.B degree through distance education or part time education in gujarat.

    i am javeed passed 10th class, now i am working in abrods, want to do degree in HR or ARTS, form andra pradesh (nizamabac) but my problm is that i am in abrods so i am not able to attend regular classes.

    also please can you let me know what i have to do & details of entrance exams etc.
