About Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University ( Agra university)
Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University was formerly known as Agra University at its onset. It is located in Uttar Pradesh, in the famous historic city of Agra. Some of the most renowned professors and intellectuals are associated with the university and the list includes Shankar Dayal Sharma, Motilal Nehru, Dr.Deoki Nandan etc. The university imparts higher education to students all over India in various disciplines.

The foundation of Dr B. R. Ambedkar University was laid on the 1st of July, 1927 with the efforts of Rev. Canon A.W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana etc.  The University was renamed as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, in 1996. The University now is spread into the seven districts of Agra Division. Agra, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Hathras, Firozabad, Etah and Mathura are some of the places which utilize the service of this university.
