Dr. C.V. Raman University, Bilaspur

Dr. C.V. Raman University is located in Kota, Bilaspur, India. The campus building is quite modern and spacious with landscape around the view. In the complex, students have wide range of facilities including hostel, college bus, internal network, cafeteria, student center, games and sports, computer labs, other laboratories, library, and else that support the studying and learning process. Dr. C.V Raman University is sponsored by the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), which is the largest information technology training and educational services network in the country. AISECT has over 5000 centers across states and territories.

Academic Program

Dr. C.V. Raman University offers degree programs in five faculties:

1. Faculty of Engineering and Technology, which comprises B.E degree in Information technology, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. All of the programs offered here take four years to complete.
2. Faculty of Information Technology, which comprises Master of Science in Information Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications, Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Hardware and Maintenance  in Electronics, Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Designing, Bachelor of Computer Applications, and Diploma in Computer Application. The Bachelor of Computer Applications takes three years to complete, while the Master of Science in Information Technology takes 2 years and the rest are all one-year programs.
3. Faculty of Education, which offers Master in Education, Bachelor in Education, Bachelor in Physical Education, and Diploma in Computers Teachers Training. All programs take one year to complete.
4. Faculty of Science, which offers Master of Science in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Micro-Biology, Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (3-year program), and another Bachelor in Medical laboratory Technology for 1 year program. The M.Sc program itself takes two years to complete.
5. Faculty of Commerce, which offers Master of Business Administration, Master of Commerce, Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management, and  Bachelor of Commerce. The B.Com program takes three years in duration, the Post Graduate Diploma takes one year, while the other two need two years to graduate.

Besides, there are also M.Phil programs in various departments. M.Phil degrees are available in Information Technology, Commerce, Computer Science, Education, Physical Education, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Library Science. Online courses are offered in the university’s internal network.
