ICFAI University, Dehradun
The ICFAI University, Dehradun, was established under the ICFAI University Act 2003 that was passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly on July 08,2003. Sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, ICFAI University, Dehradun – a non-profit educational society, established in 1984. It was the objective of the Institute to impart education and training in finance and management to students as well as for the working executives and professionals in India. ICFAI University is included in the list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission. However courses conducted within the University campus are not aided by the Grants Commission.
Educational Programs
ICFAI offers a number of educational programs in allied disciplines at bachelor’s and master’s levels. Doctorate programs and distance learning formats are also offered by the University.
Under Graduate Courses: BBA, B.Ed, BA. LLB, B.Sc in Biotechnology, B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
Post Graduate Courses: MBA, MCA, MS (Finance), MS (Banking), MS (Insurance), MS (Accounting) and MS (HRD).
PhD Course: The University offers full-time campus-based Management Teacher Program (MTP) to acquire a Ph.D. degree in management and allied areas. The PhD program is a 3 year course.
Facilities – With its own campus spread over an area of 25 acres the University offers the students with academic and hostel blocks, laboratories, computer center, college canteen, health and recreation clubs, a student welfare unit and workshops.

ICFAI allows enrollment of private students into various programs if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. Outside the state of Uttaranchal, the University has no study centers/branches.

This University conducts various courses by DLP mode.
Students devote a lot of time in pursuing these courses but what happen after completion of it.
Many courses are not recognised by AICTE and UGC, while no placement assistant provided by them. ICFAI University degrees are highly devalued in market and thousands of students are passing every year with ICFAI tag.
Just wastage of time and affords for pursuing its courses either fulltime or Parttime and DLP mode. This institute will be another SATAYAM COMPUTER. Be aware and alert.

I passed ICSE with 6 subjects and then passed two papers of Cambridge University at AS level. I am geed in English and Mathematics.
Am I eligible for admission into BBA course? Even conditionally that I have to clear some other paper/s within six months?
If yes, what is the temtative expense for the entirew course.

I was thinking of applying for Icfai’s course but then thought of surfing the net to get some information. The information I discovered was shocking! ICFAI is a money sucking machine and not even entitled to be qualified as a university. It is not even recognized by AICTE! From what i have learnt, it fools students and forces them to pay large sums of money on false pretext. Many students have registered complaints against this fraud university and I fully support those students who have been fooled by this so called university.

icfai is one of the leading university in india.Till now it has 5 universities all over india in diffrent states.
ok it is private but reputed university those looking for valueable ph.d . they can go here.

icfai university has got 5 universities all over india. its not a fake uni.. the courses offered now are pgpm in 13 campuses under icfain foundation all over india.. the last date to apply is 18 april 2010. the entrance exam will be on 25 april.. interested students could do this exam please contact 09290811318..
who says this is a bekaar university have guts than get admission here. this is a very good university it is a great misconception of such people saying all such stupid things. its b-tech program is recognised by ugc under section 2(f) of 1956.n nice placements here

l am going admisson here but i have one complane to icfai is that it not sent admit card in home they give in card by net thats why mast of the student can not take take card due to uncomplet knowldge of computer please sent cards in home
