Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI)

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore is an autonomous university which focused on the fields of engineering and technology. Also known as IIT Indore or IITI, it has just started its operation in 2009 as one of the new IITs proposed by the Government of India. The temporary campus is currently located at Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University. Just like other IITs, the IIT Indore is also a fully residential campus. The academic and other operational activities at the campus are monitored by IIT Bombay to ensure the start up processes run well. IIT Indore is planned to move the academic activities to a permanent location in 2010.

Academic Program

Indian Institute of Technology Indore offers both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the study programs. Up to the moment, there are three undergraduate programs offered:

1. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering
2. Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering
3. Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering

PhD programs will soon be added in the programs for upcoming years, which will cover both academic and research programs. The institute first covers four departments, each of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Humanities & Social Sciences. More departments for both undergraduate and postgraduate students will be added later.
