International Institute of Information Technology Bengaluru

International Institute of Information Technology Bengaluru (IIIT-B) is a deemed university. Established in 1999, it offers only graduate study programs. IIIT-B is located in Bangalore, India. The whole programs, which focus on education, research, entrepreneurship, industry interaction, and innovation, are funded the Government of Karnataka and Information Technology related industries. The campus itself includes a well-maintained complex with garden, computer center, workshops, hostels, audio-visual equipment, wired and wireless network, and so on. The student to machine ratio even reaches more than 1:1. This ensures every student gets the best experiment and study opportunity while taking their study.

Academic Program

The academic program at International Institute of Information Technology Bengaluru leads to the following graduate degrees: Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Science (M.S.) by Research, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). In addition to the existing graduate programs, a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Development (PGDSD) program has also been introduced since the academic year 2009. It is a full time program with extensive and hands-on training using Java / J2EE platform and learn-by-doing methodology. Specific information about admission will be published at IIIT-B’s site on a specified date.

The research programs are focused on the following subjects: Computer Science and Engineering, Data and Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Communications and Networking, Embedded Systems and VLSI, and Information Technology and Society. Besides the on-site programs, there is also online training and certification program in software development which takes from 6-12 months to complete.
