Jai Narain Vyas University Jodhpur

Jai Narain Vyas University is a public and residential university established in 1962. Also known as University of Jodhpur, it is located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. The university is accredited as “A” by NAAC. The university has some affiliated colleges: Adarsh Mahavidyalaya, Aishwarya College of Education, Chopasani Shoudh Sansthan, Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology, Lucky Institute of Professional Studies, Onkarmal Somani College of Commerce, Savitri Phule Mahila Mahavidhyalaya, Shah Govardhan Lal Kabra Teachers College (C.T.E.), and also Shri Nakoda Parshvanath Jain Mahavidyalaya.

Academic Program

There are five faculties at Jai Narain Vyas University:

1. Faculty of Arts. The faculty offers study programs in the following areas: Hindi, English, Geography, Economics, History, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Rajasthani, Sanskrit, Pandit Madhusudan Ojha, Sociology, Adult Continuing Education, French, Public Administration, and Fine Arts. The University’s Central Library is also located at the Faculty of Arts.
2. Faculty of Commerce. The faculty offers programs in the following areas: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Finance & Economics, and Management Studies.
3. Faculty of Engineering. The faculty offers study programs in the following areas: Architecture & Town Planning, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Production & Industrial, Structural Engineering, and Computer Center.
4. Faculty of Law. The faculty offers Bachelor of Law and Master of Law.
5. Faculty of Science. The faculty offers study programs in the following areas: Home Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics, and Zoology.

There are also Postgraduate Diploma in labor Laws, Labor Welfare & Personnel Management, Computer Accounting & Auditing, Computer Technology & Application, Desert Technology, Human Resource Management, International Business & Finance, Legal & Forensic Sciences, Marketing & Sales Management, Tax Practice, Textile Chemistry, and in Tourism & Hotel Management. In addition, there is also Doctor of Philosophy program. Certificate courses are available in Adult & Continuing Education, Population & Development, and in French Language.
