JPV offers regular as well as distant learning courses.
Regular Courses (Comprises of under-graduate as well as post-graduate courses)
1. Intermediate Courses – For the 11th and 12th standard students.
2. Three-Year Degree Programs – Educational programs offered in Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, and Commerce discipline. Both General Pass Course and Honours Courses are offered in the aforesaid program.
3. Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
4. Post-Graduate Programs - JPV offers the following postgraduate programs through different faculties.

Facilities – JPV provides hostel, transportation and central library facilities to all its students and teachers. Besides, the university has also started various professional/ job oriented courses for the students, so as to provide them all with a better opportunity to test their professional skills and capabilities in varied fields.

About JPV:
One of the oldest institutions in the state of Bihar, Jai Prakash University was established on November 22, 1990 with the aim of providing educational programs at Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate levels. The institute is the result of the efforts made by the Government of Bihar to meet the growing needs and expectations of the folks of Saran commissionary. JPV covers the entire spectrum of higher education, and it has 21 constituent and 11 affiliated colleges. An Engineering college is going to be established soon. JPV has been listed in the list of universities under the University Grants Commission, and is also an active member of the AIU.
