Jiwaji University, Gwalior
Educational programs: Under its wing, the Jiwaji University has different affiliated colleges numbering higher than 100 which offer under graduate and post graduate courses. The various fields catered by this University are science, social science, commerce and management, physical education, life science and arts. The University is spread over a distance of six territories in Madhya Pradesh which are Bhind, Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna and Datia. Initially, the University was offering education in 29 affiliated colleges only. Some of the colleges of University are now operating as full-fledged research centers. The University is also providing foreign language courses in French, German, English, and Russian recently added in 1986.

Facilities
A great facility offered by the University is the Mahadji Scindia Sports Complex. There are many features of this sports complex which are basketball courts, kho-kho ground, tennis courts, kabaddi ground, four volleyball squares and one indoor lobby for Badminton, Aerobic, Table Tennis, Judo, Weight Lifting and Wrestling. There is also a grassy track of 400 m for conducting athletic activities. A hockey ground, cricket ground with turf and football ground are also present. This centre is coming up as a foremost sports area in the Gwalior region. It is also offering the services of a gym to its students known as the Madhav Rao Scindia Gymnasium. This gym has been recently started offering all modern facilities to the users. The sports complex also offers yoga classes and coaching camps to students in different areas of sports.

About Jiwaji University
This University was established in the year 1964 under a government ordinance passed by the ruling president of India Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishanan. He laid the foundation for this college on 11th December, 1964. This University since its days of inception has operated as an affiliating University as well as a residential University. The University is also offering long distance learning courses to its students now. In the year 1966, the university started offering post graduate courses. The current vice chancellor of the university is Prof. A.K Kapoor.

I live in gwalior, and i know very well jiwaji university. I don’t think that jiwaji university is a university of national importance.it is a state university.placement are not good at this university.no company hires from it’s campus.it is awarded by four star but actually it has no infrastructures and good faculty.this should be a B grade university.provides general MBA and MCA. Students don’t know english even after passing out. sports facilities provided are mere like other state universities.the course content is obsolete and students have no manners. faculty at this university is not well behaved. this university should be popular only in gwalior and nearby.it should not have national importance.
I personally believe not to take admission in jiwaji university.the culture here is not good.i also attend for entrance exam of this university and passed but didn’t took admission.kindly see other college for admission.no placement are there.it is just a state university.ragging is very bad here.take admission in some other good college and university.this university has no standing in the market. many students are jobless and even don’t know english. no personality development.

Jiwaji faculty is not good. no company visits here. providing a C grade degree.RGPV is also good.jiwaji people are criminals. no behaviour, no attitude. PLz tell me course in french and spanish. Jiwaji is just looting money and nothing.jiwaji people don’t know english, only hindi. V.Chancellor is mad. Pl. don’t join this university of criminals.

one should try outside of gwalior for a good job.in gwalior itself job market is very bad.gwalior is not a good place for job.they only take money and gives degree but no job guarantee.jiwaji univ. along with gwalior is a C grade place.there are lots of jobs outside the gwalior.
