K L University (KLU) Vijayawada

K L University (KLU) is an engineering institution located in Vijayawada, India. It is accredited as “A” by NAAC and is deemed to be university under the Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. The university maintains MOUs with many industrial organizations and universities in the related field. It is the only Engineering Institute in Andhra Pradesh state which is permitted to admit foreign nationals. With student to faculty ratio of 1:13 and ISO 9001:2000 certificate since 2004, it is no doubt a reputed university in the region. As a university with wide network, KLU students are also applicable for student exchange and R&D activities with other top universities such as Latrobe University of Australia, Binghamton University (USA), Jackson state University (USA), Rutgers University (USA), Cincinati University (USA), Indiana State University (USA), Technical University of Cluz Nopaka (Romania), and Hunze University (Netherlands).

Academic Program

K L University comprises six schools:

1. School of Sciences and Humanities, with the Department of Freshman Engineering.
2. School of Bio-Sciences and Engineering, with the Department of Bio-Technology. The school offers B.Tech in Bio-Technology and M.Tech in Bio-Technology. There are also three 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs, each for B.Tech in Bio-Technology and M.Tech. in Bio-Process Engineering, B.Tech in Bio-Technology and M.Tech. in Bio-Technology, B.Tech in Bio-Technology and Master of Business Administration.
3. School of Computing, with three departments: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, and Computer Applications. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers the following degrees: B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, and four 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs for B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and Master of Business Administration, B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and M.Tech in Software Engineering, B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with M.Tech in Computer Networks.
4. The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering offers the following degrees: B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering, M.Tech in Digital Systems & Computer Electronics, as well as three 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs for B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering and Master of Business Administration, B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering and M.Tech in Digital Systems & Computer Electronics, and B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering and M.Tech in ES.
5. The Department of Computer Applications offers Master of Computer Applications and 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Program for Master of Computer Applications and M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering.
6. School of Electrical Sciences, with two departments: Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering and Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The first department offers the following degrees: B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering, M.Tech in Communication & Radar Systems, and four 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs each for B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering and M.Tech in Signal Processing, B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering and M.Tech. in VLSI, B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering and Master of Business Administration, and B.Tech in Electronics & Communications Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers the following degree programs: B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, M.Tech in Power Electronics, M.Tech in Power Systems, as well as five 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs for B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.Tech in Power Electronics, B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.Tech in Power Systems, B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Master of Business Administration, B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, and B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.
7. School of Mechanical and Civil Sciences, with two departments: Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Civil Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers the following degree programs: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, M.Tech in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, M.Tech in Industrial Engineering, as well as three 5-year Integrated Dual degree programs for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Aero-Structures, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech in Civil Engineering.The Department of Civil Engineering offers courses for the following degrees: B.Tech in Civil Engineering, M.Tech in Infrastructure Engineering and Management, as well as three 5-year Integrated Dual Degree Programs for B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Infrastructure Engineering and Management, B.Tech in Civil Engineering and Master of Business Administration, and B.Tech in Civil Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering.
8. School of Management Sciences, with the Department of Management & Business Administration. The school offers courses for Master of Business Administration and PG Diploma in Management.

Other info on K L University

The complex of KLU includes a wide range of facilities and high end infrastructures. There is LAN system that connects over 1600 computers, Yoga and Meditation classes, hobby clubs, e-learning system, seminar halls, entrepreneurship cell, departmental libraries, convention center, student activities, and so on that support the studying and teaching process. E-learning is being developed for all possible academic activities at the university. KLU also manage cafeteria, transportation routes, and two hostels. Hostels are separated for male and female students.
