The 9 faculties that comprise the University of Mumbai are as follows:
Faculty of Arts, Commerce, Law, Dentistry, Fine Arts, Science, Technology, Medicine and J.B.I.M.S.
Diploma Courses are offered in Arabic, French, Investment Studies, Music and Italian. And apart from this, Certificate, Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate and PhD courses are offered in all the aforesaid faculties along with courses in IT, PGDIT and B.Sc.IT.

Facilities With its own campus spread over a sprawling area, the University offers the students with academic and hostel blocks, laboratories, computer center, health and recreation clubs, a student welfare unit and workshops. The entire campus area is encompassed with LAN connection that provides the students and staff with high speed and uninterrupted internet connection.

Formerly known as the University of Bombay, Mumbai University (MU) is looked upon as one of the top notch Institutes in India. Modeled after one of the universities in Britain, MU has been accredited a 5 STAR (*****) rating by NAAC. The university comprises of 3 main campuses Fort, Kalina and Ratnagiri, all of which are centrally located in the largest metro cities of the country. Established in 1857 in the Town Hall, initially all institute operations were conducted from the Elphinstone College building. The University is an active member of the UGC as well as AIU.

Provisions for providing radio frequency are in progress, and very shortly the University will be airing its own radio channel MUST (Mumbai University Students Transmission). As per MU authorities, initially the channel will be accessible within 5-7 km radius of the University.
