Nanyang Technological University

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is the major research university in Singapore with 1,100 faculties and 28,949 students located in Nanyang Avenue, Singapore. The university has the largest on-campus residence in the country, which are 16 halls of residence.

Academic Program

Nanyang Technological University comprises four colleges:

1. College of Engineering, with six schools: School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE), School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), School of Computer Engineering (SCE), School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE).
2. College of Science, with two schools: the School of Biological Sciences (SBS) and the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).
3. Nanyang Business School, with one school: Nanyang Business School (NBS)
4. College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences, with three schools: School of Art, Design & Media (ADM), Wee Kim Wee School of Communication & Information (SCI), and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).

There are also autonomous entities with National Institute of Education and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. For undergraduates, there are Double Degree Programs, Integrated Programs, Part Time Programs, and Special Programs in the areas of Accountancy & Business, Communication Studies, Education, Engineering, Humanities, Science, Sports Science, and Art, Design & Media. For graduates, there are Joint Degree Programs, Research Programs, and Part Time Programs.

Others
Nanyang Technological University has five institutes: Confucius Institute, Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management, Institute of Advanced Studies, Lien Chinese Enterprise Research Centre and the Nanyang Technopreneurship Center. Besides, there is other numerous researches institute and centers either established within schools or with key partner universities. The key partner universities include major world-class universities in United States, Europe, and Asia such as MIT, Stanford University, Cornell University, Caltech, University of Washington, Carnegie Mellon University, Beijing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Cambridge University, Imperial College, Edinburgh University, Berlin School of Economics, etc.

There are seven libraries in NTU, including Art, Design & Media Library, Art, Design & Media Library, Business Library, Chinese Library, Lee Wee Nam Library, Wang Gungwu Library. There are collections of Books, Videos, Exam Papers, Databases, ezSearch E-Books, DR-NTU, E-Journals, Subject Guides, etc. Besides, there is one museum: the Art and Heritage Museum.

To support student life, there are students’ union and the constituent clubs, clubs & societies, Junior Common Room Committees, sport facilities, and others to join and enrich their students’ knowledge.
