The National Institute of Technology, Calicut has seven centres for studies and laboratory practices which are as follows:

Advanced Manufacturing Centre – This centre has Micro Machining Centre, Rapid Prototyping centre, CNC Centre, Sophisticated Instruments Centre, Metrology Lab and CAD/CAM Centre.

Biomechanics – Centre of Biomechanics is a Centre of Excellence for the Institute, which was established on September 10, 1998. This centre is nurtured with Faculty of some other famous establishments like Medical College, Calicut and The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Central Computer Centre – This centre is liable for providing computer and Internet services to the students, faculties and staffs.

Centre for Nanotechnology – This centre is research centre for thermophysical properties for fluids, nanoparticle inclusion, combustion performance of various fuels, nano-sized catalysts,Optical measurements of nanofluids, nanoparticle modified surfaces and several nanoscale processes.

Centre for Value Education – This centre is a good venture of the Institution for Value Awareness. listening and interacting with our mind and that of leaders, philosophers. This is a centre for inspiration through extra-mural lectures, hard work for the common good, awareness programmes about human rights, blood donation, eyes donation etc.

NITC IBM ACE Centre – This centre offers many courses to the students.
IBM Courses – IBM Advanced Certificate in Software Engineering (ACSE), IBM Certificate in Integration & Develepment Applications (IDEA), IBM Certificate in Object and Web Technologies (COWT), IBM Certificate in Techno Managment (Short-term course), IBM Certificate in Linux Administration (Short-Term course),
NON IBM Courses – Certificate in .NET, Certificate in JAVA & J2EE, LAN Implimentation and Administration, Web Programing & Graphics, and Project Guidance.

Sophisticated Instruments Centre – This centre is featured with CNC Co-ordinate measuring machines, Surface Roughness Tester, Surface texture analysis software, ESPRIT2001 CAD/CAM Software, predator virtual CNC Software.

Facilities:
Guest House – The institute’s own Guest House, with A/C and Non A/C rooms and full-fledged Conference Room, is for the institute guests, Alumni and student’s Parents.
Health Centre – The Health Centre, having 10 beds, provides Medical assistance to the students of the Institution.
NITC Hostels – Hostel facilities are provided for students within 12 hostels with 3 ladies hostels and 2 PGs.
Language Laboratory – Language skills are refined by the Institution at their Language study centre.
Engineering Unit – This unit supplies all the constructions, electrification, maintenance and water supply required by the college.
