Facilites:

The institute is a fully residential institute and offers students with hostel facilities and staff members with a residential block within the campus. The institute offers seven boys hostels and two girls hostels with a canteen for students. It gives additional facilities like computer center, health care, well-stocked library, central instrumental facility, high voltage laboratory, and for recreation, it has gymnasium, indoor auditorium, and a playground.

About National Institute of Technology, Durgapur:

The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (formerly Regional Engineering College, Durgapur), was established in 1960 by an Act of Parliament and is being ranked as the eighth such colleges which aims to function as a pace setter for engineering education in the country. The Institute is situated nearly 160 KMs north-west of Kolkata on the Howrah-Delhi Main Railway-Route. The Institute is set-up in 187 acres of land. It is fully residential and co-educational.

The institute is a fully-funded premier Technological Institution of the Government of India and is administered by an autonomous Board of Governors. Further, the institute selects candidates on the procedure laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur.
