UG Courses: B. Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Facilities – The T&P cell have access to the best resources of NIT Silchar in order to ensure that all concerned activities are executed properly. About NIT:
Formerly known as the Regional Engineering College, Silchar, REC was established in the year 1967. It was a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of Assam under the administration of a society registered under society registration Act XXI of 1860. Later on, in the year 2002, REC was renamed as the National Institute of Technology. The Ministry of Human resources and Development bestowed upon NIT the status of a Deemed University. Although the university is fully recognized by the Grants Commission with effect from its establishment, it is however not funded by the same. NIT is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

NIT campus spreads its wings over a space area of 650 acres of and is entirely a residential institution with six hostels for boys and one for girls. Recognized to be a “Centre of Excellence” by the Government of India, NIT is reinventing itself to break the ice of competition from its cotemporaries in various domains. Optimistic developmental programs such as, modernization of laboratories, library automation and computer center developments have been undertaken with the aim of attaining high standards keeping pace with the fast changing technology.
