Besides, there are National Service Scheme , Centre of Cultural activities , Sports facilities Health services , Library facilities , Research facilities , Computer Centre , Laboratories , Book Banks , Computerized Academic Information Access facility , Museum , Seminar facilities , University Instrumentation Centre ( USIC) , Employment Service and Guidance Bureau, and a special service for all foreign students – the foreign students’ advisor.

About SPU:
Established in 1955, Sardar Patel University came into existence by an Act of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly of the then Bombay Province in December 1955. With effect from its establishment, the University was recognized under 2f of the UGC Act in October 1968. SPU also holds the membership of the Association of Indian Universities, and the courses conducted are funded by the Grants Commission. The University is now aiming towards accelerating the process of regeneration of the local villages by the application of Modern Arts, Science and Technology to rural requirement. Very recently, Post graduate Departments in various disciplines have also been set up within the university campus.
