Institution Type: Deemed University. This University is under the membership of the Association of Indian Universities. The establishment of the University was done in 1942/1955/1959. The head of the University is Prof V Thiruvengadam.

 

Courses offered at School of Planning & Architecture: -

  1. PG Courses: Master of Building Engineering & Mgt (MBEM). This course has 15 seats and the duration of the course is 1 1/2 yr
  2. UG Courses: – B.Plan, B.Arch., M.Plan, M.Arch. etc
  3. Other Courses: – Ph. D and Transport Planning

Academic Programs:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch): Duration is 5 years. The course of B.Arch is affiliated by the Indian Institute of Architects, the Commonwealth Association of Architects and the Council of Architecture.
  • Bachelor of Planning: Duration is 4 years: this Program is approved by AICTE, The Institute of Town Planners (India), Government of India and Ministry of Human Resource Development
  • Masters in Planning

Information Related to SPA, Delhi: – SPA is considered to be the one of the most leading architecture Institutes in India. The establishment of the SPA was done in 1942 at Kashmere Gate. In current time, of Planning and Architecture is self-governing institute and is declared as the Deemed University.

Other Information about the SPA: -

The Alumni Association of this institution, SPA Alumni, was established in 1989 and runs as a self-sufficient body of the Alumni of the School of Planning and Architecture. It was registered in 1992 under the Act of Societies Registration 1860.
