Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) was established by the Act of A.P. State Legislature in 1991. It is associated with Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC).

Academic Program

There are two major departments at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences. Each of them consists of some departments as follows:

1. Medical Departments. This includes Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, C.T Surgery, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Medicine, general Surgery, Microbiology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Nuclear Medicine, Neurosurgery, Pathology, Radiology, Trans Medicine, Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Urology.
2. Para Medical Departments. This includes Medical Record, Nursery, and Physiotherapy.

Among the available degree programs are:  Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Nursing, Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Radiology and Imaging Science, PG Diploma in Para Medical Technical Courses, and Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Cardiac and Neuro Nesthesia. Others are such as broad specialties MD courses, super specialties DM/McH courses, specialized Nursing courses, certificate courses, and so on which cover wide range of areas in the medical field.
