About TU:
Established in the year 1994, TU came into existence by a special act o the Parliamnet. Tezpur University is the first of its kind in India that came up to offer several courses related to Master of Technology in Computational Seismology. It is one of those very few universities in the country to have its own Department of Energy. The Department of Electronics at Tezpur University took the first huge leap to introduce an interdisciplinary Master of Technology program in Bioelectronics. The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in: School of Science & Technology, Humanities & Social Science, Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources, School of Management Science and School of Engineering. Although an UGC recognized institute, AU is not funded by the UGC grants and is also an active member of the Association of Indian Universities.
