University of Airlangga



University of Airlangga, founded in 1948, is located in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. The university is one of the oldest in the country, established as a branch of University of Indonesia. University of Airlangga comprises 11 faculties with around 23,000 students. There are programs for diplomas, undergraduates, graduates, specialists, professionals, and doctorates. So far, University of Airlangga has graduated almost 80,000 students from its three campuses: Campus A, Campus B, and Campus C.

Academic Program
University of Airlangga houses 11 faculties as followed.

  1. Faculty of Medicine, which has departments covering the areas such as radiology, surgery, mental health, children health, public health, etc.
  2. Faculty of Dentistry, which has 10 departments: Department of Dental Public Health, Department of Dental Material, Department of Oral Biology, Department of Pedodontia, Department of Prosthodontics, Department of Orthodontics, Department of Periodontics, Department of Conservative, Department of Oral Medicine, and the Department of Oral and Maxilofacial Surgery.
  3. Faculty of Law, which has six departments: Department of International Law, Department of Law, Department of Administration Law, Department of Civil Law, Department of Principal Law, and the Department of State Law.
  4. Faculty of Economy, which has four departments: Department of Management, Department of Accounting, Department of Applied Economy, and Department of Islam Law.
  5. Faculty of Pharmacy, with departments covering the areas of Chemical Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, and others.
  6. Faculty of Social and Political Science, covering the areas of sociology, and politic.
  7. Faculty of Science and Technology, covering the areas of science, technology, and industry.
  8. Faculty of Veterinary, covering the areas of animal health and animal nutrition.
  9. Faculty of Psychology, covering the areas of psychology and its related subjects.
  10. Faculty of Public Health, which has seven departments: Department of Health Policy and Administration, Department of Biostatistics and Citizenship, Department of Epidemiology, Department of Health Nutrition, Department of Work Safety and Health, Department of Environmental Safety, and Department of Behavior and Health Promotion.
  11. Faculty of Humanities, which has five departments: Department of Indonesian Literature, Department of English, Department of History, Department of Japanese Studies, and Department of English Language Study Program.

There are 19 programs for diploma degrees, 29 programs for undergraduate degrees, 32 programs for specialist degrees, 19 programs for graduate degrees, 7 programs for professional programs, and 5 programs for doctorate programs.
