University of California was founded in 1868, now a public university located in Oakland, California, United States. There are 13,335 offered through the ten campuses in Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. Among the ten, nine are campuses with undergraduate and graduate schools, while the rest one is for professional or graduate programs. Besides the ten campuses, there is also one affiliated law school.
Academic Program
Academic programs per campus are as followed.
- University of California Berkeley. There are 14 colleges and schools: College of Letters and Science, Haas School of Business, College of Chemistry, Graduate School of Education, College of Engineering, College of Environmental Design, School of Information, Graduate School of Journalism, School of Law, College of Natural Resources, School of Optometry, School of Public Health, Richard & Rhoda Goldman School of Public Policy, and the School of Social Welfare.
- University of California Davis. There are colleges of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Biological Sciences, College of Engineering, and the College of Letters and Science. For the professional schools, there are Graduate School of Management, School of Education, School of Law, School of Medicine, and the School of Veterinary Medicine.
- University of California Irvine. There are schools of Arts, Biological Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Information & Computer Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Law, Medicine, Physical Sciences, Social Ecology, Social Sciences, and also Summer Session.
- University of California Los Angeles. There are many departments in this campus, including professional School of the Arts and Architecture, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Law, Anderson School of Management, School of Public Affairs, and the School of Theater, Film and Television.
- University of California Merced. The schools and divisions are School of Engineering, School of Natural Sciences, School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts, and the Division of Graduate Studies.
- University of California Riverside. There are three colleges: Bourns College of Engineering, College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences, and the College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences.
- University of California San Diego. The schools and divisions are Arts & Humanities, Biological Sciences, International Relations/Pacific Studies, Jacobs School of Engineering, Physical Sciences, Rady School of Management, School of Medicine, Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Social Sciences.
- University of California San Francisco. The major studies in this campus are Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
- University of California Santa Barbara. There are five colleges, of Creative Studies, Engineering, Letters and Science, Environmental Science and Management, and Education.
- University of California Santa Cruz. There divisions are in Arts, Engineering, Humanities, Physical and Biological Sciences, and Social Sciences.
