Facilities
The facility of Indira Gandhi Memorial library is also provided to the students whereby they can easily educate themselves with the 3 lakh books and journals provided here. The students can also borrow text books especially stored for them in a book bank. Another facility is of the computer centre that can support the important teaching goals of the university. It was established in the year 1985 and provides computing services to the faculty, officers and students of the University. This computer centre is available through out the week, 24 hours a day with an internet connection to the University students for meeting their needs

About University of Hyderabad
Established by the Act of parliament on 2nd of October, 1974, this University was fully financed by the UGC. The main objective of the university is to spread knowledge by providing instructional facilities. There are almost 10 schools of study under this University. Some of them are teaching only one discipline while the others specialize in teaching many with attached centers and departments. A special stress has been out on promoting multi-discipline learning in the university.

The University was granted the status of university with Potential for Excellence’ by the university grants commission (UGC). Under this award, the university was given 30 crores for a period of 5 years for development purposes. The purpose of this award was to make the quality of education better
