About  Lucknow university. UPTU, Lucknow is the largest state in India with about 165 million people and an area of 240000 square Kilometers. The Government of Uttar Pradesh established this university in 8th May 2000 to incorporate various subjects of technical education and affiliated colleges in wide dispersion. This college is probably one of the largest in the entire continent of Asia.

Examinations and admissions- The students need to qualify SEE-UPTU conducted by the UPTU. The univeristy also conducts centralized counseling after selection test. The students of the university appear for the end-semester examinations, which is compulsory in case of all eductaional programs of the colleges affiliated to the univeristy. This is occurs every two times in a year.

Educational Programs
Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow was established in the new Millennium with the objective of providing quality education and multidisciplinary educational environment for the better growth of the students. Rich and advanced technical education is imparted to students of this university. The University defines ‘Technical education’ as program that involves, research, study, training in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, planning, and arts and crafts and other programs, which the central government declares in Gazette. The university has a total of 238 colleges/institutes which teaches M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Tech., B.Arch., B.H.M.C.T., B. Pharma., M.Tech. and Ph.D. The University also conducts training programs for postgraduate and doctorate students through government and private institutes.

Facilities
Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) has several colleges affiliated to it. Most of the colleges affiliated under this institute share rich infrastructural facilities. It is worth mentioning that the CAD/CAM Lab, Civil Engineering Lab, Mechanical Workshop and Communication Lab have excellent facilities. Students carry with them a memorable experience when they pass out from here. Co curricular activities are always given credence in this university as the management believes in maintaining health along with studies. Rest rooms, games room and conference rooms with modern facilities are also available here.
