About WBUHS:
WBUHS was established in the year 2003 with the objective of offering world-class teaching and training in the field of medical-sciences to the student’s fraternity in the region. The University has been set up through an Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for better management of the health and medical education related courses which were so far taught separately by the University of Calcutta, and the Universities of Burdwan and North Bengal. All the courses have been brought under one umbrella for helping in upgrading the level of teaching in the state. The establishment of the institute has showered upon a number of benefits to the entire medical scenario in West Bengal.
